Full-thread or double-ended forms

Stud Bolts
Industrial stud bolts are threaded fasteners used with two compatible nuts to secure flanged joints, valves, pressure equipment and other bolted assemblies. A complete specification defines the material or strength grade, dimensional and product standards, thread form, nominal diameter, pitch, stud length, thread configuration, condition, finish and compatible nuts.
NESCO Pipe & Tubes supplies stud bolts for pressure piping, petrochemical, power, marine, heat-exchanger, pressure-equipment and maintenance applications, individually or as complete stud-and-nut assemblies.
Heat or lot traceability, Mill Test Certificates, mechanical and hardness testing, PMI, dimensional and thread inspection, finish verification, matched-set identification and export documentation can be coordinated where specified.
Certified bar is straightened and cut to the specified overall stud length.
Threads are rolled or cut to the required form, pitch and engagement.
Heat treatment, coating or lubrication is applied according to the bolting specification.
Thread gauges, length, hardness, mechanical properties, nut compatibility and marking are inspected.
Built around the specification.

NESCO provides a single contact for material, processing, documentation, packing and delivery coordination.
Clear answers before you specify.
Quick guidance on product selection, standards, dimensions, inspection and documentation. For project-specific requirements, NESCO will review the complete enquiry with your team.
01How is stud-bolt length measured?
Measurement depends on the specified configuration and dimensional convention. State the required overall length and reference standard explicitly.
02Are two nuts included with each stud?
Studs can be supplied alone or as sets with two compatible nuts and washers where specified.
03What information is essential for fastener quotation?
Provide fastener type, material/strength grade, dimensional standard, diameter, pitch, length, finish, nut/washer requirement, quantity and certificates.
04Can stainless and alloy bolting grades be interchanged?
No. Strength, temperature capability, corrosion behaviour and matching nut requirements differ; substitutions require approval from the responsible engineer.
05Why must coating and lubricant be stated?
Surface condition influences corrosion protection, friction and tightening load. It must be compatible with the service and assembly procedure.
06Can fasteners be supplied as matched sets?
Bolts, studs, nuts and washers can be packaged as coordinated sets when grades, quantities and marking requirements are specified.
Our team will review the grade, dimensions, testing and delivery requirements together.
